I had the privilege of being part of “Universe: Art of Existence“, a multi artist exhibit at Modern Eden Gallery curated by my other half Michael Cuffe. Michael founded Warholian, an arts docu-magazine in 2009 because of his love of art and creativity. Today Warholian has blossomed into an International platform for all types of artists to gain exposure by the greater worldwide culture. Both the website and the various social media platforms display a variety of art, artists and viral intriguing content.
Probably most notable is Michael’s photography. Michael documents artists daily; in addition to being a very diverse artist in his own right. Michael’s photos capture the heart and soul of his subject. He sees beauty in everything and his photos always seem to convey that.
It has been one of my greatest joys to travel the world with him. His love of capturing new things in new places is infectious. Over the last year we traveled to over 10 countries doing just that. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life.
Henry David Thoreau once said “We should come home from adventures, and perils, and discoveries every day with new experience and character.” After traveling the globe we both come home refreshed, changed individuals with a new sense of purpose. And it is that process of self reflection that led to theme of this art show “Universe: Art of Existence.”
At some point in our lives we begin to question our inner and outer existential existence. It was the intention of this art show to visually and symbolically convey that concept.
Michael brought in over 60 artists from around the country to interpret the theme in heir own style. On April 12, 2014 Universe: Art of Existence opened at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco above you can see the photos from the opening- taken by me, Lyrica Glory 🙂
